Sunday Serenity #331 - Together We Are Amazing

It has been a rough week since saying goodbye to Ed again Tuesday.  With the Internet being down there all week we couldn't even compensate with our two or three emails per day, and the occasional chats and Skype.  If I'm lucky I get one email.  He had to schlep his laptop to the library which isn't open but three days a week so the days it is closed he sits outside on battery taking advantage of the WIFI that is still available and if its raining he can't even do that.  We managed to get in two brief chats and one attempt at Skype that teased us with less than a minute of distorted visual and audio.

On the first chat Ed was sweet-talking me with song lyrics and after I went to YouTube looking for the songs and started a playlist to workout to that is 90% sappy love songs from the 70s and 80s--the era of mine and Ed's courtship and early marriage.  Ever since I've been compensating for the dearth of communication by keeping distracted with organizing the stuff we brought back this trip and working out on the mini-tramp to sappy love songs.

The two songs featured in the vids at top and bottom* were two that I could not get out of my head for the last two days and they started to blend together in mood, tone, harmony, melody, rhythm, words etc and I found myself putting my own words to the weird hybrid in my head.  I've no idea  how to write music and I can't carry a tune worth a hoot.  But for what it's worth:

Together We Are Amazing
by Joy Renee

She:   You are the sun on cloudy days
He:    You are the daze in rowdy fun
Duo:   Together our love is daz-za-ling
          Together we are amaz-za-zing

Chorus:
She:   You put the za-zing in my amaze
He:     You put the amaze in my za-zing
Duo:   Together we are amaz-za-zing

She:   You take the sting from every harm
He:    You take the harm from every sting
Duo:   Together we are harmonizing
          Together we are amaz-za-zing

Chorus:
She:   You put the za-zing in my amaze
He:    You put the amaze in my za-zing
Duo:   Together we are amaz-za-zing

She:   You give me the ring to every phrase
He:    You give me the phrase I wanna sing
Duo:   Together we are song writing
          Together we are amaz-za-zing

Chorus:
She:   You put the za-zing in my amaze
He:    You put the amaze in my za-zing
Duo:   Together we are amaz-za-zing

She:   You put the dream in my for real
He:    You put the real in my droll schemes
Duo:   Together we are realizing
          Together we are amaz-za-zing

Chorus:
She:   You put the za-zing in my amaze
He:    You put the amaze in my za-zing
Duo:   Together we are amaz-za-zing

She:   You put the stars in my night skies
He:    You put the light in my bright stars
Duo:   Together we are star gazing
          Together we are amaz-za-zing

Chorus:
She:   You put the za-zing in my amaze
He:    You put the amaze in my za-zing
Duo:   Together we are amaz-za-zing

So maybe my five days of listening to sappy love songs from the seventies and eighties has paid off.

Or not.  It could be a matter of opinion.

Depends on how you feel about sappy love songs.

Together We Are Amazing

*I replaced the vid at the top with the free photo from Canva and the one at the bottom with a cheezeburger LOLz I made because the two vids disappeared off YouTube and I didn't keep a record of the song titles referenced and now I can't remember what they were tho one was a male/female duo singing to each other that alternated lines which was part of the inspiration for mine. (Update 06/16/2020 one week after our breakup.)
