Bloggiesta Begins
The Bloggiesta is officially underway now. It feels as though I've already been at it for days as I began intensive prep for it immediately upon learning about it Tuesday. I posted my I'm-joining post in the wee hours of Thursday.
Part of my prep was a task list but I made it with an eye not just to what could reasonably be expected of myself this weekend but with a focus on getting as many of the known tasks in the list so that I could collect info and links related to them during the Bloggiesta and progress could continue at a steady pace into the future. And I've already started on the organizing of my notes as a natural fallout of the prep. But none of that counts for the official Bloggiesta I suppose.
But here we are with it already kicking off and now I have to get some sleep or risk burning out by Saturday afternoon or sooner. So it may be late afternoon or early evening before I can return.
Meanwhile below is my extended task list. Any suggestions, pointers, links, advice, explanations etc? Related to what's in the list and/or what isn't but should be.
My task list so far:
Blog hop the Bloggiesta bloggers leaving lots of comments & asking questions
Participate in two memes minimum
Spend several hours visiting and commenting on this weeks two memes--It's Monday! What are You Reading and Library Loot
Get bookmarks ready to mail to RIF mini-challenge winners from April read-a-thon as money for mailing will be available soon. . Establish that I have all contact info, mailing info, color and design preferences etc. and everything matched up to correct person. Sorry gals for this taking so long. Am tres embarrassed

- streamline the process for reviewing:

- edit any close to ready book reviews and collect their associated media

Organize 2010 Reading Challenges
- Create Portal Page for Reading Challenges (Saturday's post?)
- Sign up for several more
- Watch for even more while blog hopping

Good morning, Joy Renee. The timing is perfect for you to make changes on your blog template because Blogger is now offering us new designs. Go to your DASHBOARD and find a new button called DESIGN -- oooooh, I started to do that so I could tell you what to look for next and discovered that we can find DESIGN at the top of our own blog pages, too. Fantastic! Check it out as you think about new things you want. I (obviously) haven't had time to learn much about it yet, but it may have something you want. Have fun!
Oh my gosh that is an insanely long list. If you get it all done, I'll have to make you my new hero. lol Good luck! :)
Have fun sis. Don't forget to breathe while at it.
I must admit that you have one of the most detailed lists I've seen yet for Bloggiesta. I love that you know exactly what you want to achieve. Many of the mini-challenges will help you with a lot of them (directories, gravatar/favicon, etc). Let me know if you need any help at all and I'd be happy to answer questions. I'm tweeting from @bloggiesta this weekend!
Good list Joy - hope you make a huge dent in it! :)
You have a wonderfully detailed list! Hope that you accomplish everything that you hope to this weekend.
I like that you know exactly what you want to do. Good luck!
