Abused and neglected children removed from their homes into the foster care system may seem like an odd choice for a Sunday Serenity post but the emphasis I'm putting on it for the purpose of this post is not on the tragedy of children suffering these indignities but on the efforts of the writer, director, producer and actors and all others involved who created a beautiful story beautifully rendered that creates empathy for these children, advocates for them and spotlights the societal dilemma.

It's an Indie short film that's already won several awards at film festivals and is up for more.

I'm adding, for what it's worth, one of my Phoenix Feathers for efforts by individuals, groups and organizations that aim to bring those devastated by tragedy, trauma or disaster (whether man or nature caused} up from the ashes.

It's a must see.
